It's A Great Time to Try a New Class!

As part of the Monday with the Ministers series, a new, 3-week class begins TONIGHT. Meeting at Schoenbrunn Community Moravian Church (2200 East High Avenue in New Philadelphia), The Rev. John Wallace will offer  "Brush Strokes of Faith" from 6:30-7:45 p.m.

Pastor John says, "Here is a way to explore your faith and become aware of how the visual arts enrich and enhance our overall faith experience. We will start by viewing classic masterworks by many great artists. Then we will see how these images probe our faith and challenge our soul."

Included in the presentations will be the work of John Valentine Haidt, a Moravian painter and keeper of Moravian art and history.

You may attend any or all of the "Brushstrokes of Faith" sessions being offered tonight, October 30, November 6 and/or November 13. There is no cost to participate, and all are welcomed.

Speaking of the visual arts, there is still time to register for the next "Spiritual Splatter" session with our resident artist, Sheila Davis. Sheila will help participants create a painting appropriate for November and its attention to giving God thanks for countless blessings.

This "Spiritual Splatter" session will be offered on Thursday, November 16 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Fry's Valley Moravian Church (for GPS help, enter 594 Fry's Valley Road SW, New Philadelphia). $25. Registration is required by November 10.

New Class Starts TONIGHT

There's a lot of activity happening in our T-County Moravian world this week! Stay tuned for a flurry of posts, but for now, be reminded that a new round of Shared Ministry Opportunities has recently gotten underway. In fact, a new series will launch this evening.

As part of the Monday with the Ministers series, Pastor Darrell Johnson will lead "Joy, Humor and Daily Delight" from 6:30 - 7:45 p.m. at the New Philadelphia Buehler's Restaurant. All are welcomed. There is no fee for this session, although you'll want to bring along a little money to purchase a beverage and/or snack.

Pastor Darrell invites us to "Notice, share, and delight in God's gifts of humor and joy as we look at scripture, cartoons, comics, and the light-hearted moments in our lives." Come for soft drinks, fellowship and holy laughter!

"Joy, Humor and Daily Delight" will  meet on October 2, 9, 16, and 23.

This event is one of the Shared Ministry Opportunities offered through the Ohio Moravian Ministries Commission.
