Fellowship! Food! Music! Come and be a part of a wonderful gathering on Thursday evening, June 25, when the Ohio Moravian Ministries Commission hosts "Moravian Night" at the Trumpet in the Land pavilion in New Philadelphia. We'll mingle, we'll share a potluck picnic meal, and we'll welcome visiting musical guests, The Morning Star Ringers Youth Handbell Choir from Olivet Moravian Church, Winston-Salem, NC. Then, if you'd like, stay for a performance of the outstanding historical drama that portrays a significant slice of Moravian history--Paul Green's Trumpet in the Land.
Evening Itinerary
6:00 p.m. Arrive/Chat/Laugh/Mingle. Pick up your pre-ordered Ohio Moravian t-shirts. (See last blog post for further information.)
6:30 p.m. Potluck Picnic--Bring along something yummy to contribute to the buffet table. Paper products, plastic ware and iced tea will be supplied.
7:15 p.m. Handbell Concert--This will be a lighthearted, family-friendly concert featuring "camp songs" and other favorites. Maybe there will be a sing-along. Certainly there will be audience participation.
8:00 p.m. "Moravian Night" draws to a close...but that doesn't mean it's time to go home....
8:30 p.m. Trumpet in the Land begins in the amphitheater. Stay for a performance under the stars (you might want to have a jacket or sweater with you). While there is no admission fee for "Moravian Night," Trumpet performance tickets may be purchased at the box office that evening. $15, adults; $8, children.
